We are a progressive cricket club, based in Northenden, a leafy suburb of South Manchester. We have 3 senior men's teams, 6 junior teams, from Under 9s to under 18's. Our senior teams are newly appointed members of the Saddleworth & District Cricket League and Wythenshawe are past members and historically the most successful club in the now disbanded Manchester & District Cricket Association. We have our own website here http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/wythenshawecc/
The excellence of our junior development and commitment to excellent standards are recognised by the award of ClubMark by the ECB. We are also a Focus Club with Lancashire Cricket Board and were worthy recipients of The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Award (Fields in trust) & Manchester Sports Club runners up award 2012.
We continue to invest in quality coaches at both senior and junior level to develop the playing standards of all our cricketers. We are also dedicated to improving our facilities as funding allows, and have taken significant steps last year with the installation of new state of the art outdoor netting facility with joint funding received from ECB & Willow Park Housing Trust. We have exciting plans to continue to develop our ground (deemed one of the best maintained in the north west) with the addition of a 3G multi use games area (MUGA) changing room & accessible toilet facilities plus a new scoreboard are all in our development plan.
We would like to ask all members to try to contribute what you can in terms of time, commitment, ideas, practice, coaching and support as we once again look to take the club forward in 2014.
If you are interested in joining our progressive and friendly club then please contact us on email@example.com or telephone 01619987268. We are always on the lookout for quality and committed cricketers at all levels.
Our juniors play in The South Manchester Junior League and are about to join up with Saddleworth Junior Cricket League for U11/13 & U17 cricket. We are particularly keen to attract new recruits and as always new junior cricketers are very welcome in readiness for the start of the 2014 season and winter nets.
Contact junior organiser Tracy Bailey firstname.lastname@example.org or 07973491047 for all information on how to join.
We look forward to welcoming you and your families to Wythenshawe CC

The ECB continues to work with Sport England on the pioneering club accreditation scheme 'Clubmark' to develop a vibrant and healthy club cricket infrastructure.
Cricket clubs can play a key role in the successful delivery of Building Partnerships – cricket's strategic plan for 2006-2009 - by supporting the delivery and implementation of the following programmes:
The ECB Clubmark and community cricket clubs play a central role in all of these programmes and Clubmark will provide the standards that clubs involved in these programmes will aspire to.
In addition, it is expected that clubs who achieve the ECB Clubmark will be recognised and rewarded for their hard work and commitment to club cricket in England and Wales.
By registering to work towards ECB Clubmark, clubs join a growing number of cricket clubs across England and Wales that are prioritising junior development, creating a benchmark for high quality community club cricket.
County Cricket Development Managers can help clubs through the process of achieving ECB Clubmark Accreditation.
ECB Clubmark gives clubs an opportunity to write and implement new procedures as well as acknowledge existing practices. Cricket clubs are required to present evidence and demonstrate implementation across four different themes, culminating in the production of a Club Development Plan.
The four themes are:
